Remember a priest or brother who has passed on to his next life. Remember how he inspired you all those years ago.
...his contagious love of God's people.
...the mark his life of service has left in this world
and know that he is enjoying an eternity of joy in heaven.

Saint John Vianney, pray for all of our dear departed priests and brothers. #SaintJohnVianney #nextlife #LoveOfGod #lifeofservice #heaven #inspired

Br. Walter Obester, Br. Ed Unfendorfer, Fr. Rich Kuhn, FrBob Bacherns. Humble great men , who by “ contagion” drew me into and mentored me in the spirituality and the charism. Am so grateful to them and many others.

Thank you Fr. Adolf Windish. He was a philosophy instructor at St. Mary's University in San Antonio. Father Aid as he was called helped me decide to continue my education back in the 1980s.

Bro. Frank “Paco” Gomes, SM. I have a soft spot for this stubborn, devoted, soft-hearted lover of Our Lady of Guadalupe! ✝️💙🙏 For the sake of His sorrowful Passion have mercy on Paco and on the whole world. 🙏

Thank you to the Saint John Vianney Center and Nancy Santamaria for submitting this reflection.

Perhaps you are going through a difficult time in your life, in your ministry, or in your family or community. Do not lose heart. Could it be that grace is there too?

In the reflection by author Marilyn McEntyre, Ph.D. in “Give Us This Day” she reminds us that “In spite of ourselves, life equips us for what we can’t foresee, and... sometimes dread.” She also quotes Corrie Ten Boom who wrote “Every experience God gives us, every person He puts in our lives is the perfect preparation for the future that only He can see.”

Let us together be encouraged to show up in prayer, participate with grace, appeal to our supports and wisdom-figures, and trust that God is present and active in our lives.

Sending you prayers!

Marianist Brother Robert Moriarty's recipe for Festival Seafood Pasta is a perennial summer favorite. If you missed it in last summer's issue of Alive Magazine, we have the link here for you. This flexible main dish can incorporate a variety of seafood types and is tempting to even the most picky eater.

Bring Marianist hospitality to your dinner table. Try it tonight! loom.ly/ZbdI6DQ

Congratulations to Brother Joseph Choi on his first profession of vows on June 22 in Seoul, South Korea. 🙏

⛪Surrounded by family and friends, it was a joyful celebration marking this new chapter in service to God and the world.

Bro. Joseph said a great inspiration for his vocation was a pilgrimage with The Marianists during high school to sites in France and Spain as well as to Rome where he experienced the power of prayer at many holy places. After graduating from high school in South Korea, Bro. Joseph's call continued to develop over seven years as an aspirant while he completed his college degree and two years of military service.

Bro. Joseph completed his formation in the US Province before returning to South Korea for his vows. He is an aspiring librarian and teacher who plans to serve in education roles in the future.

We thank God for the blessing of Bro. Joseph's vocation and pray for many joyful years of service to the Church.
